How to get the most out of your candle
Wax has a memory - for your first burn i would recommend burning for 3-4 hours. This is to ensure you have a full wax pool on the top. This helps to stop any tunnelling or leftover wax at the sides.
Trim the wick to 4/5mm before each burn. If the wick is too large the flame will burn too hot, if the wick is too short it will flood the wick and the candle will not burn. Don't leave the end of the wick to float in the wax - it will become a fire hazard.
Keep an eye on your melt pool - it shouldn't be more than an inch. If it gets bigger than this, blow out the candle and leave to harden. Before burning the next time check the wick isn't too long, and don't leave burning next to a source of heat.
